Appreciate nature in an intimate form. Not huge vistas, but those small, magical moments of light and pattern
ARTIST STATEMENT
Whether in watercolor, or new acrylic work, my paintings are the expression of an appreciation of nature in an intimate form. No big vistas, instead I'm interested in those small, magical moments where light, texture, and form meet biology. The texture of bark, the shapes made by interwoven branches, the flash of red from a fox running through the undergrowth...these are the things I try to capture in my work.

BIO
Sean Huntington grew up in Derrick City Pennsylvania just outside the Allegheny National Forest. Being surrounded by woodlands in an unpopulated area caused an initial lack of social skills but created an intense interest in the natural world. He maintains a studio in Western New York state where he does his best impression of a big and tall version of Bob Ross . Most days Sean can be found there, unless on the road to one of many art festivals around the United States.
