Something to See
I approach my paintings with the same curiosity I have for any new place I might visit. It's not always possible to predict the behavior of materials, so instead I come to appreciate their innate character, how they interact, and the differences between them. An interest in the emotional lives of animals, both human and non-human, has me chasing invented story lines into the woods, where they hide.

Lisa has been working in the arts professionally for two and a half decades. Trained at Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, Lisa worked in clay for 18 years after completing her MFA. The rich surfaces she developed with glazes still inform her paintings. Currently she teaches painting wherever interested students can be found, most recently at Albright College in Reading, PA. Lisa exhibits her work at street fairs, and in galleries across the country. She maintains her studio in Pottstown, PA.
