Stolen Singer

Paper collage and oil on cradled panel

6 x 6

This old, Colorado newspaper header has intrigued me for years.  Is it a story written to entertain or is it a real life headline about a certain event?  I'm not sure of the context for the headline, but I love placing it in new settings such as this one featuring the landscapes of the Red Rocks Amphitheater and seeing what new tales can be created.
Coated with an archival, matte varnish.  Collage materials wrapped around the edges to create a finished look.
