DESCRIPTION
The dark blue palette and a high school encounter inspired the title of Some Enchanted Evening. The splatters indicate the magic that happens when you connect with someone. The painting has a contemporary thin white floater frame that brings the dimensions to 12 3/8" x 12 3/8" x 1 1/2" deep. The song is from the 1949 Rodgers and Hammerstein musical South Pacific. In high school, I saw someone across a crowded room at a dance, our eyes met and the chemistry was electric. We dated my entire senior year in high school. Even though the relationship didn't survive the distance that college brought, I'll always remember that enchanted evening. Some of the lyrics are below.
Some enchanted evening
You may see a stranger
You may see a stranger across a crowded room
And somehow you know
You'll know even then
That somewhere you'll see her, again and again
