"Stompin' Ground" features both visual and actual texture. Some of the texture is incorporated collage pieces. The subtle color palette is activated by the texture and line work. The wide open spaces of the painting prompted the title. The painting has a contemporary thin, white floater frame that brings the dimensions to 12 3/8" x 12 3/8" x 1 1/2" deep. The song was written by Aaron Neville about his roots in New Orleans. It has an easy going Cajun/Zydeco beat. I've danced both Cajun and Zydeco in the past, even making a trip to Lafayette, LA known for its' Zydeco scene.
