Maternal Instinct

oil on panel

6.5" x 6.5" x 1.5" deep

My 25 Days of Minis collection highlights four endangered/threatened animal species from the north to the south pole and back again.
"Maternal Instinct" : My last koala painting, titled "Maternal Instinct", portrays a mother koala bear protecting her infant.
It is also framed in a white floater frame (wired to hang on a wall or stand on a shelf) and would look awesome hung in a row along with the previous two koala paintings!
Framed size: 6.5" x 6.5" x 1.5" deep
Koala Fact: Koalas are not bears! They are marsupials. Baby koala bears are called "joeys" and develop in their mother's pouch for 6 months. After this time they ride on mom's back for another 6 months, using the pouch to feed or sleep.
