ABOUT THE WORK
This short collection of paintings are inspired by few of my backyard muses. Painting is done with decorative style of Indian folk art - Kalamkari. Style is know for its intricate designs and it's very limited color palette. This style of Indian folk painting is primarily used as textile designing. Decorative elements of Kalamkari helps me transport my subjects to the fantasy world.
6" x 6" painting is done with acrylic gouache paint on handmade paper and is framed with elegant black floater frame.
