I am a painter, a mother, a wife, and also a teacher, but, I have been an artist forever.
My paintings are a joyful search for balance, for beauty, for truth, for good.
My still life objects consisting of flowers and fruits; vintage ceramic dishes and figurines continuously offer me a glimpse of what is perfect and right in the world. I come to each painting with the same excitement and gratitude for the colors and shapes I get to explore, their relationships to each other, their weight and ephemeral beauty. I am reminded that where there is art, there is hope.
Edward Hopper said, "If I could say it in words, there would be no reason to paint."
I can't think of a better way to say it.
My paintings are my love letters to life.
